This is another outstanding entry in an amazing series. I love the characters and their arcs, the language, the action, and the pacing of the story, and I'm in awe of the research and world-building. I read books in small daily chunks (multiple books, a little at at time) and it's very hard not to just consume these novels. Every page invites you to keep going.
Not that the subject matter is light. It's informative and engaging and thought-provoking, but it's not light. The murders at the center of this story are disturbing, and the truth, when it comes out, is just the worst.
It's also very real.
It sounds like there are plans for more books in the series, and I'm totally ready for that. I seldom buy new hardcovers, or pre-order anything, but I'll make an exception for these all day long.
